This technology allows us to get a three dimensional x-ray image at a resolution of up to 75 microns. These images are invaluable in the diagnosis and treatment of a number of dental problems including implant treatment, root canal (endodontic) treatment and orthodontics. Our scanner is one of the latest available in the UK market which gives us excellent scans at a low radiation dose.
An intra oral scanner gets rid of the need to take messy impressions. Many patients do not like impressions (moulds) of their teeth as they find it uncomfortable, however, an intra oral scanner can take accurate three dimensional images inside your mouth resulting in a ‘digital impression’, which can then be used to make crowns, implants, dentures, etc. Our patients love this!
GBT is a modern, systematic approach to oral hygiene that focuses on the detection and removal of biofilm (the bacterial layer) that forms on teeth and gums. Biofilm is the leading cause of tooth decay, gum disease and implant complications. GBT is much more comfortable than a conventional cleaning and our patients love it.
