About Restore32 Dental Practice, York

Welcome to our website! We hope that both our existing patients and any potential new clients to the practice will enjoy visiting this site.

In 1989, the husband and wife team of Jette and Steven Holbrook set up the practice and following Steven’s retirement in 2018, another husband and wife team of Smriti and Shash Bhakta joined Jette and the rest of the team to continue building our excellent reputation in providing  high quality, patient-centred, bespoke dental treatment. Between us we have the skills to deal with all your dental needs in a comfortable, friendly environment.

Smriti and Jette provide all aspects of routine dentistry and will make you feel welcome, valued and well looked after. Furthermore, they each have their own areas of clinical interest, which ranges from the management of jaw pain & TMD (Temporomandibular Disorder), cosmetic dental procedures, smile makeovers, composite bonding and holistic dental care.

Shash divides his working week between the practice in York and the Leeds Dental Institute, where he works as a NHS Consultant and Head of Department of Restorative Dentistry. He provides a wide range of specialist services and accepts referrals from local dentists. He is an expert in dental implants, complex full mouth rehabilitation, management of failed dental treatment, root canal treatment, gum surgery and much more.

We are passionate about oral and dental health and our ethos is one of prevention and treating our patients as we would like to be treated ourselves.

About the Building

With help from the FFH Local History Group, we have learnt that the terraces on Howard street were built in the 1890’s. 1 Howard street, which now houses the practice has been continuously occupied over this time period. It would initially have been a residential property prior to its current use as a dental practice from the early 1980’s.

Many thanks to the FFH Local History Group for the lovely historic images of Fulford Road.
